MEDIPIRON INJECTION to overcome fever, pain and inflammation MEDIPIRON INJECTION is a sterile injection preparation containing a combination of dipyrone and lidocain HCl which is effective as an analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory in livestock. Dipyrone works by inhibiting the COX-3 enzyme, result in reducing of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) synthesis in the central nervous system thereby reducing the sensitivity of pain receptors to pain mediators. While Lidocain HCl works by preventing nerve impulses so that depolarization occurs and results in pain impulses from the peripheral nerves does not reach the brain
