Medion Distributes Aid in Handling Foot-Mouth-Disease

Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) or better known as Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is currently spreading in Indonesia. This disease is a viral disease that is acute and highly contagious in even-toed/cleaved ruminants. The transmission rate of 90-100% and mortality of 2-5% can cause huge economic losses so it needs to be controlled.

The government and several other parties, including Medion, have taken notice of this situation. In collaboration with associations and the department of livestock, Medion participates in distributing aid in the form of veterinary medicines, vitamins, and disinfectants.

The distribution of aid has been carried out since May 9, 2022. So far, Medion has distributed 127 liters of disinfectant. Formades, medicines such as Medipiron and Medoxy LA, as well as Injeksi Vitamin B Kompleks to various regions in Indonesia, such as South Sumatra, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Semarang, Central Java, East Java, and West Nusa Tenggara. This assistance will continue to be distributed as long as there is a need.

Not only providing assistance in the form of goods, Medion also provides education on "Beware of Foot and Mouth Disease in Cattle" via social media. facebook and instagram @medionindonesia.id. This education provides information about the characteristics of cattle affected by FMD and how to handle it.

Medion hopes that the FMD outbreak can be overcome and end soon.
