November 10 is celebrated as National Heroes' Day. Do you remember the phenomenal quote. “A great nation is a nation that honors its heroes”? This statement from Bung Karno invites all Indonesian people to recognize and emulate the attitudes of heroes. To commemorate the services of heroes, we can inherit their positive attitudes such as:
1. Defending Truth and Justice
Siding with truth and justice will make you more responsible, respectful of others, This can be shown by the attitude of
- Helping others in need
- Not committing despicable acts that harm others
- Upholding equality in civic life
2. Love of Country
This feeling arises from the heart of every person. This call to serve, defend, maintain, and protect the Motherland from threats is also called patriotism. Forms of love for the country that need to be instilled, such as:
- Being proud to be an Indonesian by speaking good and correct Indonesian language
- Helping to preserve regional and national culture
- Participate in making the nation proud in the international arena
3. Have a Big Heart
Having a big heart or chest is an exemplary attitude from heroes that needs to be passed on to the nation's children. This hero's attitude emphasizes honesty, courage, and struggle. This attitude is usually manifested in:
- An attitude of willingness to introspect on one's own mistakes
- Not despair when failing repeatedly
- Willing to apologize and forgive all forms of mistakes in the social environment
4. Cooperation and Responsibility
